We got there late, so only caught Sabbath & Pie (weren't interested in Three Dog Night at all back then, so we left when Jeremiah started ;) ). Geezer was using his plexi Dan Armstrong see-thought bass . . . his strap kept falling off, and one of the crew had to keep running up on stage to put it back on. Great day, fabulous music, incredible summer weather.

Cheap Trick did not perform on 8/8/88. It was an off day from the Midwestern part of the tour. 8/7/88 they were in Missouri and then resumed 8/16 in Kansas. The correct date is 9/16/88.

Good Catching songs will always stand the test of time and these songs have stood the test of times.

Wow, I’ve lived with a vhs bootleg of this for over 20 years and like most bootlegs from then it was probably 5th generation with terrible picture and audio quality but I watched it about 100 times. I’ve never seen it like this before, great quality! Lol

you casn see the time era in the way they dressed & the hair. The bass player has a sweet Perm & Robin too if Im not mistaken. Very Preppy but thjat was the style & we loved it. They were such a clean good rock band.

Holy shit! It just fucking dawned on me, after listening and loving these guys since I was 12 years old - Cheap Trick are the American AC/DC!!!!!!!!! Robin's Bon. Rick's Angus (all the fucking way). Tom is Cliff (and Malcolm, and playing all those power chords on bass, to boot!) And Bun E.'s Phil. What a revelation!!!!!!!!!!

I just saw these guys on May 13 of 2024. They still rock, and then some. Biff likes to offer cold water to the fans; he takes the caps off of the water bottles and then tosses them out to the crowd🤣. I looked down for a moment, and he nailed me! 😹 I was thirsty, and I managed to salvage half of it. 🙂 What a great show; these guys and Uriah Heep!
